Champions exclusive: Mega Drampa does not exist in mainline Pokémon games. This Mega was introduced in Pokémon Champions.
Mega Drampa has a mid-battle power spike built into its ability. Berserk activates the moment HP drops below half for the first time, granting +1 Special Attack (a ×1.5 multiplier). This means opponents face a dilemma: deal chip damage to trigger Berserk and make Mega Drampa stronger, or try to KO it before it Berserks — but then they risk being unable to finish the job.
At 135 base Special Attack before Berserk activates, Mega Drampa is already threatening. After Berserk, it reaches an effective 202 Special Attack — enough to OHKO most Pokémon with the right move.
Normal/Dragon coverage
Normal STABSTABmechanicSame-Type Attack Bonus: a move deals ×1.5 damage when its type matches one of the user's types.Click to read more → is unusual for a special attacker — Hyper Voice (Normal, spread move) becomes a solid option. Dragon STAB with Draco Meteor (strong but drops Special Attack after use) or Dragon Pulse provides Dragon coverage. After Berserk, Draco Meteor’s Special Attack drop still triggers, but the Berserk boost stays.
Berserk timing
Skilled opponents use Berserk timing against Mega Drampa — they try to deal exactly the right amount of damage to trigger Berserk, then KO it that same turn before it can use its boosted stats. This requires carefully tracking HP thresholds.
