What it does
Drought activates on Mega Evolution, instantly boosting all Fire-type moves by 50% for the entire field. Heat Wave hits both opposing Pokémon simultaneously for massive spread damage. Switching it in mid-game flips the entire board state.
Why it's threatening
The moment Charizard Mega Evolves, sun begins and every Fire move in the game gets a 50% damage boost. Heat Wave under sun deals enormous spread damage even to Pokémon that resist Fire. The sun also halves Water moves — your most natural counter type deals half the normal damage back.
How to stop it
Rock moves are 4× super effective and ignore the sun boost on Fire. Tyranitar's Sand Stream overwrites Drought and its Rock Slide punishes spread. Rotom-Wash still deals 2× with Water/Electric even in sun. The key priority: force the weather change before Heat Wave KOs both your Pokémon.
