Why it’s strong
Normal-type moves include some of the highest-power options in the game (Return at 102 BP, Double-Edge at 120 BP). Aerilate turns those into Flying-STAB attacks at 1.2×, which is a much better deal than a native Flying move would offer.
It also converts priority Normal moves like Quick Attack into priority Flying-STAB hits — a rare combination that lets Pinsir revenge-kill faster opponents.
