New ability

Pure Power

Doubles the Pokémon's Attack stat. This is calculated after all other modifiers — if Medicham uses Swords Dance to raise Attack, Pure Power doubles that raised value. The result is an Attack stat that would normally require a dedicated wallbreaker.

Mega Medicham’s Pure Power doubles its Attack stat, turning a modest 60 base Attack into an effective 120. Combined with High Jump Kick (130 base power, Fighting STABSTABmechanicSame-Type Attack Bonus: a move deals ×1.5 damage when its type matches one of the user's types.Click to read more →) and Zen Headbutt (Psychic STAB), this Pokémon deals enormous damage from what looks like a mediocre stat on paper.

High Jump Kick is the star move: 130 base power, STAB, and Pure Power, for an effective 390 equivalent base power against neutral targets. The downside: if it misses or hits a Ghost type (which is immune to Fighting), the user takes damage instead.
