High Jump Kick is the star move: 130 base power, STAB, and Pure Power, for an effective 390 equivalent base power against neutral targets. The downside: if it misses or hits a Ghost type (which is immune to Fighting), the user takes damage instead.
Fake Out setup

This gives Mega Medicham a way to flinch one opponent while its partner attacks the other, giving the team an extra action before the opponent can respond.

What stops it
- Ghost-type Pokémon — Immune to High Jump Kick entirely. Fighting moves bounce off. A faster Ghost can KO Medicham before it uses its main attack.
- Flying-type moves — Flying hits Fighting for 2×. Tornadus and Talonflame are common threats.
- Speed — Base 100 Speed is good but not exceptional. Pokémon with base 110+ Speed can outpace and threaten it.
