Mega Starmie is one of Champions’ most surprising Megas. Starmie has historically been a special attacker, but Huge Power flips the script: its physical Attack is effectively doubled, turning it into a fast, hard-hitting physical threat that most defensive cores aren’t built to check.
The surprise factor
Opponents expect Starmie to run special moves — Hydro Pump, Psyshock, Ice Beam. A Mega Starmie running Waterfall, Zen Headbutt, and Ice Punch hits physically with damage comparable to dedicated physical attackers twice its Attack stat. The coverage keeps it unpredictable.
Speed and matchup spread

Typing coverage
Water/Psychic is a solid offensive dual-typing. Physical Water coverage handles Fire, Rock, and Ground types. Psychic moves get through Fighting and Poison. The combination rarely leaves Starmie unable to make progress.
Role on teams
Mega Starmie fits on offense-oriented builds that want a fast, multi-target threat. Spread moves like Surf (which it can still run physically with Liquidation as the primary) complement a second fast attacker on the same side.
