What harsh snow does
- Ice-type Defense +50% — every Ice-type Pokémon on your side takes 25% less damage from physical moves while snow is active.
- BlizzardBlizzardmove110 base power Ice-type spread move. 70% accuracy normally, but always hits in Snow weather. The signature offensive move on Snow teams.Click to read more → at 100% accuracy — normally 70% accurate, Blizzard becomes a guaranteed hit under snow. As a spread move, it hits both opposing Pokémon simultaneously.
- Chip damage — all non-Rock, non-Steel, non-Ice Pokémon take 1/16 of their max HP per turn in chip damage.
Snow does not globally boost or reduce a specific damage type, unlike rain (Water +50%) or sun (Fire +50%). Its advantage is defensive bulk for Ice-type teammates and Blizzard consistency rather than raw offensive multipliers.

Overwriting snow
Any weather ability overrides Snow Warning when that Pokémon switches in. Pelipper’s Drizzle, Torkoal’s Drought, and Tyranitar’s Sand Stream all replace snow immediately. Teams running Snow Warning need a plan for opposing weather setters.
