Quiver Dance raises Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed simultaneously. After two dances, Bug Buzz and Fire Blast sweep entire teams. Sun further boosts Fire Blast damage and procs Fiery Dance's 50% Special Attack boost.
Why it's threatening
A single Quiver Dance changes Volcarona from threatening to nearly unstoppable. Two dances and it outpaces and outshoots most of the format. Rock-type Pokémon are the main counter — everything else has to win before the setup lands.
Rock moves deal 4× — Tyranitar's Rock Slide KOs in most scenarios. Water moves deal 2×. Both of these counters need to move before Volcarona finishes a dance. Taunt also prevents Quiver Dance entirely.
